Exploring Tikkun Ministries International

Thank you for entering my page!  Right now, you are probably searching to find out more about Jewish beliefs in Jesus.  Perhaps, you are questioning your faith, and are looking at different options. Tikkun Ministries International is a Messianic Jewish ministry that ordains Messianic "rabbis" and sponsors over a dozen Messianic congregations. However, in truth, there is nothing Jewish about Tikkun Ministries. It is a Christian-run organization, designed to convert Jews. I will demonstrate this, using information from their web-site and other Christian sites. Reference links will be provided, so you can see the evidence for your own eyes.

Dan Juster

Dan Juster is the Executive Director of Tikkun Ministries. Here is the link to show this: Click Here

Unfortunately, few people realize that Dan Juster was an ordained Presbyterian minister! He has been active in various Christian churches and colleges since he was an adolescent, and was later ordained by the Presbyterian denomination of Christianity. In the Introduction to his book, "Due Process", he states:

"Who am I to make such a statement? Have I been a rabble rouser in the church? No, such is not my nature. My motive stems from a deep love for the many streams of the Body of believers. At twelve years of age I accepted Jesus as Lord and Messiah. Early years of discipleship in an evangelical Reformed Church and in fundamentalist Bible clubs introduced me to people who were sold out to the Lord. I have known many who were the salt of the earth. A godly elder in this Reformed Church was instrumental in leading me into the experience of immersion in the Holy Spirit. At the King's College in Briarcliff Manor, New York, I met godly professors for whom love for the Lord and conformity to His character were more central than academics. I continued to find these characteristics at Wheaton College and at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Some, even in these highly academic atmospheres, sought the presence of the Lord, a godly character and a walk with Him more than all other pursuits. My spiritual father at Wheaton, Chaplain Evan Welsh, was the godliest man I have ever known. In love, character and saintliness he was without peer. Our Lutheran pastor in Wheaton, Theodore Laesch, was a servant of great godliness and love. Yes, I have had disappointments in the Church, but my experiences by far have been good. It was through the influence of Chaplain Welsh that I was ordained into the Presbyterian denomination. Providentially, Dr. Welsh was the instrument of my entering into my life's work: seeking to win and nurture those of the house of Israel."

So, he was clearly an active church-member who was attended Christian schools and became a Christian minister. Obviously, this is not the background of a real Jewish leader! Here is the link to the quote, the quote is the 2nd paragraph: Click Here

But we read more about Daniel Juster's education and his evangelization of the Jews in Theology Matters, a Presbyterian publication. In an article on the Presbyterian attempts to convert Jews and the founding of Presbyterian "Messianic" congregations, the author, Jonathan Kaplan, writes:

"Interestingly, two of these Presbyterian congregations served as incubators for the development of Messianic Judaism in the early 1970s. Dr. Daniel Juster, a graduate of McCormick Theological Seminary and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, served as pastor of First Hebrew Christian Church of Chicago in the early 1970s."

Here we have a direct statement that Reverend Juster was involved in Christian evangelizing of the Jews. Here is the link to the quote, the quote is from the 5th page, 2nd full paragraph (Editor's Note: The link is to a PDF article; your computer must be able to read PDF files to access the file): Click Here

So, what about these school Juster attended? What type of schools are they? Well, McCormick Theological Seminary is a Presbyterian school. According to the McCormick web-site:

" McCormick is one of eleven theological institutions associated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Located within the bounds of the Presbytery of Chicago and the Synod of Lincoln Trails, the theological education offered here is firmly rooted in the Reformed Tradition. Part of the Reformed Tradition is an ecumenical commitment and openness to dialogue with other perspectives within the larger Christian Tradition. Nearly 40% of McCormick’s student body come from traditions other than Presbyterian. Included are Pentecostal and evangelical students as well as those from Baptist and Methodist churches. Common to all our students is an openness to one another that is rooted in a shared faith in Jesus Christ. The diversity with our faculty also speaks to McCormick’s breadth on the theological spectrum."

Would a real Jewish group be led by someone who attended McCormick? Of course not-but Tikkun Ministries is led by a McCormick graduate! Here is the link to the quote: Click Here

Now then, that leaves us with Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Trinity Evangelical Divinity School is part of Trinity International University, an evangelical Christian school. Of its core values, the 4th core value of Trinity International University is

"Church connectedness. We value service to the Church because we believe that the Church is God’s central vehicle to accomplish his work in the world. Our vision for serving the Church is a global vision, just as God’s vision for his Church is global. A particular value affecting Trinity’s work is to identify and meet the educational needs of the EFCA."

Again, this is obviously a place where Christian leaders are trained, not Jewish leaders. Here is the link to the quote, you will find that Trinity Evangelical Divinity School is listed as part of the University under "The Schools of Trinity International University", while the quote comes from the "Trinity International University Core Values" section at the bottom of the page: Click Here

As a Christian leader, Daniel Juster sits on the Steering Committee & Advisory Board of the International Church Council Project. Would a real Jewish leader do this? Never! Here is the link to the proof, you will notice that Juster is listed as "Rabbi Daniel Juster", despite the fact that he is an ordained Christian minister, not a Jewish rabbi: Click Here

Reverend Juster is also a "recognized spiritual advisor" of Dove Christian Fellowship International, a Christian missionary organization: Click Here

Not surprisingly, Dan Juster is listed as one of the speakers for Revival Now Ministries, a Christian evangelical ministry. Here is the link to his listing: Click Here

So, what is Revival Now? Revival Now Ministries was founded by Wesley and Stacey Campbell. According to their biography:

"Wesley and Stacey Campbell are founders of 'New Life Church' and 'Praying The Bible International' - a subsidiary of "BE A HERO!" They are producers of the "Praying the Bible" CDs and co-authors of the Praying the Bible books. As well as being involved in the current prayer movement, they are active directors of a mercy organization called 'Hope for the Nations' which works with 'children at risk.' As conference speakers, they have ministered in over 40 nations, laboring to see revival and social justice transform the world. Wesley and Stacey minister internationally, their itinerate thrust of their work is called "RevivalNOW! Ministries."

The Campbells live with their five children in Kelowna, B.C., Canada, and are an integral part of the Leadership Team of New Life Church, which they helped found in 1986. As a part of that team, they lead the Trans-local Ministries, connecting the local Apostolic Itinerants at New Life Church together into a community."

The Campbells are Christians...and Reverend Juster is part of their organization. There is no way that a real Jewish leader would be part of that group! Here is the link to the quote: Click Here

Moreover, Reverend Daniel Juster has been a keynote speaker for Friends of the Bridegroom Missions Base. Here is the link to their site to see that he was a speaker, Juster is the fourth listing: Click Here

As for the goals of Friends of the Bridegroom, here they are:

"The Friends of the Bridegroom (FOTB) Missions Base is committed to:

Prayer: Intercession, worship, intimacy with Jesus, healing, prophecy

Fasting: In the spirit of Joel 2, covering 365 days a year

Great Commission: Proclaiming Jesus to the nations

Forerunner Spirit: Preparing the Church as a bride for the end-times"

Obviously, this is a Christian missionary group that Juster is involved with. Here is the link to the quote: Click Here

Christian Odds and Ends

Tikkun Ministries and Dan Juster are part of numerous Christian activities. Tikkun Ministries was an endorser of the Homeland Security Prayer Initiative with other Christian organizations, as developed by Ministry to the Nations. Here is the link to the proof: Click Here

So you may be curious as to the goal of Ministry to the Nations. Their vision statement says:

"We have adapted our statement of purpose from the Moravian Christians, "To win for the Lamb the rewards of His suffering." We purpose to do this by "Equipping the Church" and "Expanding the Kingdom" through proclaiming the gospel to the nations with signs following, first to the Jew and then to the Gentile. Our desire is to envision the Body of Christ to fulfill her prophetic destiny as an "exceeding great army sent out into all the earth" and to become the House of Prayer for All Nations."

Again, this is a Christian missionary group that wants to convert Jews, and Tikkun Ministries is part of their activities. Here is the link to the quote, it is under "Our Vision", half-way down the page: Click Here

Tikkun, along with many Christian missionary organizations, is an partner with Harvest Christian Fellowship. Here is the link, they are the second to last listing under "International Missions": Click Here

Tikkun Ministries is listed with other Messianic groups on the Church on the Web.com! Here is the link to the proof, they are the 9th listing: Click Here

You can also find Tikkun Ministries and other Messianic groups on Christian Start. Here is the link to the proof: Click Here

Real Jewish groups would never appear with those Christian groups or on those Christian lists. But, Tikkun Ministries is not a Christian group, not a Jewish organization
