Thank you for entering my page! Right now, you are probably searching to find out more about Jewish beliefs in Jesus. Perhaps, you are questioning your faith, and are looking at different options. Have you thought about Messianic Judaism? Do you live in Boynton Beach, Florida? If so, you may have heard of Beth Sar Shalom, a congregation that cliams to carry on Jewish tradition in accordance with the Jewish Bible. In truth, Beth Sar Shalom is not Jewish at all-it is wholly a Christian organization; Southern Baptist, to be specific. I will demonstrate this, using information from Beth Sar Shalom and other Christian sites. Each time references will be provided, so you can see the evidence for your own eyes.
Southern Baptist Membership Beth Sar Shalom is a full-fledged member of the Southern Baptist Convention. If you look on the Southern Baptist Convention web-site, you can find their congregation. A real Jewish group would never be part of the Southern Baptist Convention, a Christian organization committed to converting the Jews to Christianity! Here is the link to the Beth Sar Shalom listing on the Southern Baptist Convention web-site:
Click Here Beth Sar Shalom is also a member of the Florida Baptist Convention. Here is the link to the Florida Baptist Convention's ChurchSearch, if you click on the link and put "Beth Sar Shalom" in the Church Name section, you will see their listing (Editor's Note: Unfortunately, there is no way to directly bring you to their listing like on the national Southern Baptist Convention web-site, so the reader must follow the aforementioned directions to see the Beth Sar Shalom listing):
Click Here Would a real Jewish group be listed on the Florida Baptist Convention's web-site? Never! Beth Sar Shalom is listed among the other Baptist churches in a report of money donated for "Mission Giving", listed by the Florida Baptist Witness. Again, here is the link to the proof, the list is alphabetical (Please note that your computer will need to be able to read PDF files to access this site):
Click Here Moreover, the Florida Baptist Witness has Beth Sar Shalom in its 2002 Report of Baptisms. Obviously, a real Jewish group would not be on this list; there is no such thing as a "baptism" in Judaism! But Beth Sar Shalom is part of the Southern Baptist Convention, so it is expected that they would be on this list! Here is the link to the proof (Please note that your computer will need to be able to read Microsoft Word files to access this site):
Click Here Southern Baptist Beliefs Beth Sar Shalom beliefs are essentially identical to the Southern Baptist church. Again, since they are a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, this should surprise no one. On the "Our Mission" section of the Beth Sar Shalom web-page, they state that their mission is: "To proclaim the Good News of Salvation through Yeshua the Messiah, to the Jew first and also to the Gentile...
If you click on the link to their page and go to the "Our Mission" section, you will see that the quote is from their page (Editor's Note: Due to the format of the Beth Sar Shalom webpage it is not possible to send you directly to any page other than their main homepage):
Click Here The idea of "To the Jew first" is called "the Great Commission" in Christianity and spurs on Christian evangelical efforts. Recently, R. Albert Mohler Jr., the President of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, echoed this in an address to a Messianic Jewish conference hosted at their school (Would a real Jewish group hold a conference at the Southern Baptist education headquaters and have the seminary President give the keynote address?). In an article titled "To The Jew First" published by the Florida Baptist Witness, he stated: " Despite the controversial nature of Jewish evangelism, Scripture rings clear that Christians are under a mandate to proclaim the Gospel to Jewish persons, R. Albert Mohler Jr. told a group of Messianic Jews... Drawing on Romans 1:16 and several passages in Acts, Mohler said Jewish evangelism is not only commanded but is a priority because the Gospel is "the power of God unto salvation for the Jew first and then the Greek."
"In the Book of Acts and in the apostolic age and in the opening chapter of Romans, you see there is no question about the necessity of Jewish evangelism," Mohler said. "Not only that, but there is even a priority that is indicated in the text."
Clearly, Beth Sar Shalom sounds like every other Baptist organization, including the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Here is the link to the quote, the quote comes from the 1st, 4th and 5th paragraphs:
Click Here Moreover, if you look at the "Our Beliefs" section of Beth Sar Shalom, it looks like a Judaicized version of the The Baptist Faith and Message. They are nearly identical in their beliefs of Jesus as a god, the virginal birth, Holy Trinity...all concepts that exist in Christianity and not Judaism. Each try to use the same Biblical verses to back up their beliefs, each making the same errors such as mistranslating, taking verses out of context, and other major errors. If you go to my "Great Sites, Priceless Information" section, I have numerous links to sites that go through their errors and show how they are wrong. Messiah Truth ("Know Your Orchard" and "Countermissionary" sections at the top of the page), Jews for Judaism (Under Reference Center, subheading Proof Texts)and Outreach Judaism (Under "Rabbi Singer's Q & A") do the best jobs of this. Here are the links to Beth Sar Shalom's beliefs and the Southern Baptist Convention beliefs: Beth Sar Shalom's beliefs (Editor's Note: Due to the format of the Beth Sar Shalom webpage, the link will take you to their main page and you must click on to their "Our Beliefs" Sections):

Christian Advertising Since Beth Sar Shalom is a Baptist organization, it is not surprising that they advertise their services with "The Good News in South Florida, a Christian publication. Here is the link to the proof; they are on the "Weekly Events" listing on the right-hand side; they are the eight listing for Friday, under "Erev Shabbat Services":
Click Here So what is the goal of The Good News in South Florida? Well, according to their web-site, it is: "The Good News in South Florida is a free, not-for-profit Christian newspaper, packed with content to edify the Christian community and be a light to those who don’t know Christ as their Savior." It is pretty obvious that only a Christian group would advertise with them-a Jewish group would not go anywhere near that publication!
