Exploring Adat Shalom Congregation

Thank you for entering my page!  Right now, you are probably searching to find out more about Jewish beliefs in Jesus.  Perhaps, you are questioning your faith, and are looking at different options. Are you located in the Dallas area? Have you been thinking about joining Messianic Judaism? Adat Shalom Congregation in Dallas, Texas is a Messianic congregation looking for new Jewish members. Adat Shalom claims that you can stay Jewish and believe in Jesus. However, they are not a Jewish congregation at all-they are actually members of the Southern Baptist Convention! I will show that Adat Shalom is a Christian organization using their web-site and other Christian sites. Reference links will be provided so that you can see the proof with your own eyes.

Southern Baptist Connection

On Adat Yeshua's web-site, they state:
"The congregation began as an outreach of First Baptist Church of Dallas and maintains close ties to the church, though Adat Shalom self-governs."
So, as a start point, we know that Adat Shalom admits that they started as a part of a Baptist church-obviously, not a good start. Here is a link to the quote, the quote is from the second paragraph: Click Here

But, there is more to the story...if Adat Shalom claims to be separate from the First Baptist Church, how is it that Adat Shalom is listed on the First Baptist Church's web-site as one of their missions? Probably, because they are still part of the church...here is the link to their listing on the First Baptist's web-site: Click Here

However, not only is Adat Shalom part of a church, but they are fully a part of the Southern Baptist Convention! In fact, you can find them on the Southern Baptist Convention web-site! A real Jewish group would never be on the Southern Baptist Convention's web-site; here is the link to the proof: Click Here

But, there is even more evidence-Adat Shalom is also officially part of the The Southern Baptists of Texas Convention. Here is the proof: Click Here

Of course, a real Jewish congregation would not be a part of The Southern Baptists of Texas Convention. If you paid close attention to the previous link, you noticed that Robin Rose is the Pastor of Adat Shalom...now, if you click on this link, here is Robin Rose's listing as a Southern Baptisit Minister on the Southern Baptist Convention's web-site. A real Jewish leader would never be associated with them: Click Here

As a Southern Baptist Convention church leader, Robin Rose takes part in the annual Southern Baptist Convention Conference. Robin Rose was a "featured speaker" at the Southern Baptist Messianic Fellowship, the Messianic section of the Southern Baptist Convention. Here is the link to the evidence; it is under "Southern Baptist Messianic Fellowship", approximately 4/5th down the page. You can find Robin Rose listed with the "Featured Speakers" in the afternoon session: Click Here

Overall, it is clear that Adat Shalom is just an extension of the Southern Baptist Convention's evangelism of the Jews.

Christian Links

Since Adat Shalom is a Christian organization, it is not surprising that you will find them in lists of Christian congregations. Here are a few Christian groups that list Adat Shalom:

Great Sites, Priceless Information

Here are a number of great sites that counter missionaries and explain the differences in belief between Judaism and Christianity, including addressing the Biblical verses that missionaries try to use against the Jews and explaining why the missionaries are incorrect.
